I didn’t sleep well last night – I was still awake at 3 am, my brain just wouldn’t settle. I ended up researching how to start a blog.
As a result I’m firing on less than four cylinders this morning, and I’m already behind with everything I want to do. This is the story of my life and also a goal to work on.
One of the reasons I want to keep this blog is to keep a record of this N=1 experiment and also test out my hypothesis that my ‘ADHD’ symptoms are actually due to my brain not functioning at its best because of insulin resistance.
So the plan is to eat strictly keto, less than 20g carbohydrates a day, for a month to start with, and observe the impact on my cognitive function. This takes a lot of doing, particularly the first 4 days of eating barely any carbohydrate, which is when my cravings get difficult to manage. So I’m putting this out there for more accountability.
